About Me
I have always had a passion for taking something mundane and making it creative in order to help all people learn, no matter how their brain works.
I have a Bachelors in History with a minor in English and have taught for 4 years. I am excited and ready for the next adventure.
Based in Houston, TX
My Work
Creativity & Lesson Design

By doing this, I helped learners of all types, showed my creativity, and I was able to show the staff something they had never seen beofre.
When teaching 3rd grade, I made my very own curriculum to help students prepare for their state administered test.

My first year teaching, I was faced with the challenge of students very low in their reading levels.
I saw that the traditional approach was not working and chose to make a series of creative lessons that were hands on, allowing students to participate and have fun.
I made an interactive video series for my students that was developed in order to help them with inferencing skills while preparing for high school.

Innovative Lesson Design

This creation is one of the custom lessons I am the most proud of. History can be a boring subject for students, so I aimed to fix that. Getting inspiration from The Oregon Trail and Dungeons and Dragons, I created a hands on, interactive adventure for students.
Not only did they learn our units, they learned critical thinking, creative/formal writing, budgeting, and teamwork.

My Work
Writing
Here is an example of my writing where I created a proposal to save our school library in lieu of the TEA takeover.
I have loved writing since I was a child. I love creative writing and even formal writing, which can be seen from the degree I chose.

In college, I wrote a 20 page research paper about Jack the Ripper.

I believe that creativity can open up new possibilities and make the impossible, possible.

I look forward to our creative journey!
As a teenager, I took over the creative department and wrote scripts, created sets, and directed performances at my job.
